When coming to ambition, what is the first to appear on your mind? Teacher?Doctor?Air Stewardess? Singer?Model? hmm..seems these are the common ambition that one would most likely to have since young. But AMBITION is not same as our OCCUPATION some time. Ambition are normally just kind of dreams, some sort that we might not be able to achieved but wish to achieve----in our dreams. Some might really lucky enough or really work hard to achieve his or her ambition, but another fact to be faced is R-E-A-L-I-T-Y!! Try to think of it,if someone has the ambition to become a novel author or a drawer, does it take risk? As this is a job that needs the support of the public and fame plays an important role, some of them might not have the chance to achieve his or her ambition to become well-known in his field of career.
When young,i did think of becoming a singer or air stewardess. When I grew little older, during schooling, when filling the column for ambition,I panicked,I didn't know what to write. I asked my mummy, yeah she told me that just writing teacher so I did. After years of filling teacher as my 1st choice,I started to observed teachers, because I wonder why my mum want me to fill 'teacher' as my ambition(now I just know the truth that actually she wanted to become a teacher since young but unable to achieve it~hehe, innocence me right?).. Then, after observing, I start to admire teacher this career as it has a great influential towards the students, such as distributing the homework for the students, having a small spelling or dictation test, punishing those inobedient (haha..,I'm violent I know).
During secondary school, I realized reality and know what 'personal interest' meant to me. I start to think of which career suits me,at the same time which career is more demanding. I found 'lawyer',I really had have a great interest in it,especially in the criminal case, but some of my relatives have an objection on it,because it is a bit related to political issues, and some more lawyer is not as what we seen, some time lawyer is hard to deserve the right to stand on truth or what, some time they have been forced to do something that they've known that it's not the justice that they are holding and believing on. And another reason is that, because I'm from science stream and I think I'd undergone such a tough time to study my science subjects so I'm not willing to throw away what I'd learned. I MUST choose a science-related career. Haha..really It can be seen that how becoming a mature person can have a tremendous change on a person's thinking from a children to adults. All in all, I choose doctor as my career. This is my ambition after graduated from my form 5 studies, that put an complete full stop on my secondary studies..(Oh yea,I really missed the time waking up early, sometime woke up a bit late, wearing the school uniform, eating the breakfast prepared by mum without chewing>>so called 'pouring in'?haha, rushing to the school and feeling evil grows when seeing the school gate been half-closed,dashing to the canteen during recess time...good memories worth than gold!!) Reverting back to my ambition, I still holding this ambition after I entered my university---Aimst University for my foundation studies. The complete name for my university is Asian Institute of Medical, Science and Technology(such a long name,I've just get to memorise this until now, such a poor student, right?)
Really,it's narrowed down my choice when I did foundation in science,as I've to stay in that univerity after my foundation, and all that offer after it is engineer, nursing, mbbs(doctor),BDs (dentistry), pharmacy, business, physiotherapy(if not mistaken),accounting, biotechnology(not a high demanding job here)...So,asking the opinion from my parents, they wish I could further my studies on dentistry or pharmacy or anything else except doctor. Yea,I know I like the feeling of rescuing those they are helpless, saving lives treat them well..Passionately,not money wise,I just like the feeling of saving lives and the soul of the patients and even their families with my wide knowledge and with my hands,I wish I could lighten their pain for those that come with agony. Just simple, the patients can be my friends,I can chat with then and enlighten them whether on the burden of their daily lives or just telling me a joke and we could laughing over there. A warm-hearted 'thank you' is worth than all.
But,knowing the fact that I'm not really a healthy person,I know I can't bear with the working mode of a doctor, whether on call or what. So,I put aside my passion and think of another job that can help the other and more relaxing for me. That's dentistry. So,when some might ask me why do you choose dentist as your future career, I really don't know how to say it,reality?interest? Confusing right..I would choose to say it's my interest,I love to put a grin on my patients or whatever, just changing 'Life' to 'Teeth', not a difficult job. Do I REGRET? THE ANSWER IS NO! I think now I don't have such keen interest on it, but I believe that may be one day I would love this career sooooo much, who knows? Just leave it to God and take it easy. Life--Is Simple,We're the one Making it Complicated...Life---Just Simple...
